The steering gearbox houses the motor, the torque sensor (includes the pinion shaft assembly), and the motor angle sensor. The motor is an efficient brushless DC motor, which rotates around the rack shaft, and transmits the assist force directly to the rack shaft. The transmission mechanism adopts a ball screw mechanism to increase the transmission efficiency.
