VSA System Description - Yaw Rate-Acceleration Sensor
Yaw Rate Sensor (included in the VSA modulator-control unit)
The yaw rate sensor is a diapason type built into the VSA system that generates a voltage signal each time there is a change in the horizontal axis. The yaw rate sensor uses the voltage signal generated whenever the diapason vibrates during vehicle cornering.

Acceleration Sensor (included in the VSA modulator-control unit)
Whenever the vehicle accelerates or decelerates, the movable electrode shifts position and the capacitance between the movable and fixed electrode changes. The capacitance changes when the movable electrode moves closer to or further from the fixed electrode depending on if the vehicle is accelerating or braking. The change in this gap changes the capacity of the system, which then can be measured as a voltage output.
