Rear Safing Sensor Removal and Installation

before doing repairs or service.
1.
Battery Terminal - Disconnect
Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure
, then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.
2.
Rear Seat Cushion - Remove
Remove the rear seat cushion
.
3.
Rear Safing Sensor - Remove
1.
Disconnect the rear safing sensor connector (A) on the right side wire harness.
2.
Remove the TORX bolt (B) using a TORX T30 bit, then remove the rear safing sensor (C).

Rear Safing Sensor - Install
1.
Install the rear safing sensor (A) with the new TORX bolt (B), using a TORX T30 bit.
2.
Connect the rear safing sensor connector (C) on the right side wire harness.

Battery Terminal - Connect
Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure
.
3.
DTC - Clear
Clear any DTCs with the HDS.
4.
SRS Operation - Confirm
Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
5.
Rear Seat Cushion - Install
Install the rear seat cushion
