CVT Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve Test

NOTE: Keep all foreign particles out of the transmission.

1. SCS - Short

1.
Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) (A) located under the driver's side of the dashboard.

2.
Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

3.
Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle. If it does not communicate, go to the DLC circuit troubleshooting.

4.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

5.
Jump the SCS line with the HDS.

2. CVT Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve - Internal Resistance Check

1.
Remove the harness clamps (A).

2.
Remove the PCM cover (B).

3.
Disconnect PCM connector C.

4.
Measure the CVT clutch pressure control solenoid valve resistance between PCM connector C terminal No. 5 and body ground.

Standard: 4.7?5.9 ?
If the resistance is within the standard, then the test is complete, and install all removed parts.
If the resistance is out of the standard, then go to the next step, and check the CVT clutch pressure control solenoid valve operation.

5.
Connect PCM connector C.

3. Lower Valve Body Assembly - Remove

4. CVT Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve - Operation Check

1.
Disconnect the CVT clutch pressure control solenoid valve connector (A).

2.
Connect a jumper wire from the positive battery terminal to CVT clutch pressure control solenoid valve connector (B) terminal No. 2, and connect another jumper wire from the negative battery terminal to connector terminal No. 1.

If a clicking sound is heard, repair the wire between the CVT clutch pressure control solenoid valve and the PCM, then go to the next step.

3.
Connect the CVT clutch pressure control solenoid valve connector.

5. Lower Valve Body Assembly - Install

6. PCM Cover - Install

1.
Install the PCM cover (A).

2.
Install the harness clamps (B).
