Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Test
1.
SCS - Short
1.
Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) (A) located under the driver's side of the dashboard.
2.
Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
3.
Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle. If it does not communicate,
go to the DLC circuit troubleshooting
.
4.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
5.
Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
2.
Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor - Internal Resistance Check
1.
Remove the harness clamps (A).
2.
Remove the PCM cover (B).
3.
Disconnect PCM connector C.
4.
Measure the transmission fluid temperature sensor resistance between PCM connector C terminals No. 31 and No. 37.
Standard: 50 ??25 k?
If the resistance is within the standard, then the test is complete, and install all removed parts.
If the resistance is out of the standard, check for open or short in the solenoid wire harnesses. If the wires are OK,
replace the transmission fluid temperature sensor
.
5.
Connect PCM connector C.
