CVTF Warmer Removal and Installation

NOTE: Keep all foreign particles out of the transmission.

1. Vehicle - Lift


2. Engine Coolant - Drain


3. Splash Separator - Remove


4. Front Bumper Upper Air Duct - Remove


5. Battery - Remove


6. Air Cleaner - Remove


7. PCM with Bracket - Remove


1.
Disconnect PCM connectors A, B, and C.

NOTE: PCM connectors A, B, and C have symbols (A=?, B=?, C=?) embossed on them for identification.

2.
Remove the harness clamps (D).

3.
Remove the harness holder (E).

4.
Remove the PCM (F) with the bracket.

8. Battery Base - Remove


1.
Remove the harness clamps (A).

2.
Remove the battery base (B).

NOTE: Loosen the bolts (C), without removing them.

9. Transmission Fluid Warmer - Remove


NOTE: To prevent damage, cover the solenoid wire harness A connector using a shop towel.

1.
Disconnect the transmission fluid warmer hoses (A).

NOTE: Check the transmission fluid warmer for wear and damage, when disconnecting the transmission fluid warmer hose.

2.
Unclamp the transmission fluid warmer outlet hose from the hose clamp (B).





3.
Remove the transmission fluid warmer (A) with the O-rings (B).

NOTE: The transmission fluid warmer is aluminum part. Check the transmission fluid warmer for wear and damage.


NOTE: Keep all foreign particles out of the transmission.

1. Transmission Fluid Warmer - Install


1.
Clean the mounting surfaces of the transmission housing.

2.
Install the transmission fluid warmer (A) using new O-rings (B).

NOTE: The transmission fluid warmer is aluminum part. Check the transmission fluid warmer for wear and damage.





3.
Connect the transmission fluid warmer inlet hose (A) and outlet hose (B) until each bulge (C) of the transmission fluid warmer line.






4.
Align the black paint marks (A) on the transmission fluid warmer lines with the white paint marks (B) on the transmission fluid warmer hose ends.

5.
Secure the transmission fluid warmer hoses with the clamps (C).






6.
Clamp the transmission fluid warmer outlet hose (A) with the hose clamp (B) at the white paint line (C).

7.
Clean up any spilled engine coolant.

2. Battery Base - Install


1.
Install the battery base (A).

2.
Install the harness clamps (B).

3. PCM with Bracket - Install


1.
Install the PCM (D) with the bracket.

2.
Install the harness holder (E).

3.
Connect PCM connectors A, B, and C.

NOTE: PCM connectors A, B, and C have symbols (A=?, B=?, C=?) embossed on them for identification.

4.
Install the harness clamps (F).

5. Air Cleaner - Install


7. Front Bumper Upper Air Duct - Install


8. Splash Separator - Install


9. Transmission Fluid Level - Check
