Bearing - Remove
1.
To remove the bearing (A), expand the snap ring (B) using the snap ring pliers.
2.
Remove the bearing.
NOTE: Do not remove the snap ring unless it is necessary to clean the groove in the torque converter housing.

Bearing - Install
1.
Install the bearing (A) in the direction shown.
2.
Expand the snap ring (B) using the snap ring pliers.
3.
Insert the bearing part-way.
4.
Release the snap ring pliers.
5.
Push the bearing down until the snap ring snaps in place around it.
6.
Measure the snap ring end gap (A).
Dimensions After Setting Snap Ring
End Gap (A):
14 mm (0.551 in) or less
