DTC Troubleshooting: P15AB
DTC P15AB: Engine Mount Control Unit Power Source Circuit Low Voltage
NOTE:
Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshots, and review the general troubleshooting information.
If DTC P16C5 is stored at the same time as DTC P15AB, troubleshoot DTC P16C5 first, then recheck for DTC P15AB.

1.
Problem verification:

Problem verification

Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

?2.
Clear the DTC with the HDS.


?3.
Start the engine, and let it idle 10 seconds.

?4.
Check for pending or confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC P15AB indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 2.
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit, the engine mount actuator, the engine mount control unit, and ground G401.?
2.
Shorted wire check (IG1 ACG line):

Shorted wire check (IG1 ACG line)
?1.
Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

?2.
Inspect the No. B13 (15 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.

Is the fuse OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 3.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair a short in the IG1 ACG wire between the No. B13 (15 A) fuse and engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 9. Also replace the No. B13 (15 A) fuse, then do the repair verification.
3.
Engine mount control unit connection check:

Connection check
?1.
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit 16P connector.

Are the connections and the terminals OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 4.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair the connections or the terminals, then do the repair verification.
4.
Open wire check (IG1 ACG line):

Open wire check (IG1 ACG line)
?1.
Disconnect the following connector.

?2.
Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

?3.
Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
ON mode
Engine mount control unit 16P connector: disconnected
Test circuit
IG1 ACG
Test point 1
Engine mount control unit 16P connector No. 9 (PNK)
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there battery voltage?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 5.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open in the IG1 ACG wire between the No. B13 (15 A) fuse and engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 9, then do the repair verification.
5.
Open wire check (GND line):

Open wire check (GND line)
?1.
Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

?2.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
OFF mode
Engine mount control unit 16P connector: disconnected
Test circuit
GND
Test point 1
Engine mount control unit 16P connector No. 4 (BLK)
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open in the GND wire between engine mount control unit 16P connector terminal No. 4 and ground G401, then do the repair verification.
Repair verification:

?1.
Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

?2.
Reconnect all connectors.

?3.
Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

?4.
Clear the DTC with the HDS.


?5.
Start the engine, and let it idle 10 seconds.

?6.
Check for pending or confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC P15AB indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the engine mount control unit and ground G401, then go to step 1. If the symptom still does not go away, replace the engine mount control unit.
     
NO
     
     
     
Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.?
