Is DTC P0627 indicated?
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at fuel pump control module, PGM-FI main relay 2, the fuel tank unit, and the PCM.?

Fuse check:

Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

Check the following fuse.

Is the fuse OK?
Check for a short to ground on the No. B9 (20 A) fuse circuit, if needed, replace the under-dash fuse/relay box, also replace the No. B9 (20 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box, then
do the repair verification .

Determine possible failure area (FUEL PUMP RLY OUT, GND, others):

Disconnect the following connector.

Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

The GND wire is OK. Go to step 5.

Remove PGM-FI main relay 2 (A) from the under-dash fuse/relay box.
Is the relay OK?
PGM-FI main relay 2 is OK. Go to step 6.

Determine possible failure area (FI MAIN RLY OUT line, others):

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Remove PGM-FI main relay 1 (A) from the under-hood fuse/relay box.

Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.

Repair an open in the FI MAIN RLY OUT wire between PGM-FI main relay 1 and the under-dash fuse/relay box, then
do the repair verification .

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

The FUEL PUMP RLY OUT wire is OK. Go to step 10.
Repair an open in the FUEL PUMP RLY OUT wire between PGM-FI main relay 2 and the fuel pump control module, then
do the repair verification .

Jump the SCS line with the HDS.

Disconnect the following connector.

Reconnect the fuel pump control module 6P connector.

Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
?5.
Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.
?6.
Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, and check for sound from the fuel pump within 2 seconds.
Does the fuel pump operate?

Jump the SCS line with the HDS.

Reconnect all connectors, and reinstall PGM-FI main relay 2.

Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

do the repair verification .
The FUEL PUMP- wire is not shorted. Go to step 16.

DTC (PGM-FI)
Is DTC P0627 indicated?
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at PGM-FI main relay 2, the fuel pump control module, the fuel tank unit, and the PCM. If the PCM was updated,
substitute a known-good PCM , then recheck. If the PCM was substituted, go to step 1.
Troubleshooting is complete. If the PCM was substituted,
replace the original PCM . If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.?
