DTC P0741: Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck OFF
NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot with the HDS, and review the General Troubleshooting Information.

1.
Problem verification:

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

Clear the DTC with the HDS.


?3.
Start the engine, and warm it up to normal operating temperature (the radiator fan comes on).

?4.
Start off in D, run the vehicle until the vehicle speed reaches to about 37 mph (60 km/h), and drive for several seconds. Then slow down and stop the wheels, and turn the engine off.

?5.
Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.?

CVT lock-up clutch control solenoid valve operation check:

Does the CVT lock-up clutch control solenoid valve work properly?

     
YES
     
     
     
The CVT lock-up clutch control solenoid valve is OK. Check whether the drained transmission fluid is contaminated. If the transmission fluid is contaminated, replace the transmission, or replace the torque converter when the transmission fluid is not contaminated.?
