DTC Troubleshooting: P0796
DTC P0796: Pressure Control Solenoid Valve "C" Performance or Stuck OFF
NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot with the HDS, and review the General Troubleshooting Information.

1.
Problem verification:

Problem verification
?1.
Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

?2.
Clear the DTC with the HDS.


?3.
Start the engine in P, shift to N, then to D while pressing the brake pedal. Keep pressing the brake pedal with the shift lever in D within 30 seconds.

?4.
Turn the engine off, restart the engine in P, shift to N, then to D while pressing the brake pedal. Keep pressing the brake pedal with the shift lever in D within 30 seconds.

?5.
Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC P0796 indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.?
Repair verification (OBD STATUS check):

?1.
Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

?2.
Clear the DTC with the HDS.


?3.
Start the engine in P, shift to N, then to D while pressing the brake pedal. Keep pressing the brake pedal with the shift lever in D within 30 seconds.

?4.
Turn the engine off, restart the engine in P, shift to N, then to D while pressing the brake pedal. Keep pressing the brake pedal with the shift lever in D within 30 seconds.

?5.
Monitor the OBD STATUS for P0796 in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.

Troubleshooting is complete. Check for other DTC after this troubleshooting. If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs were indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.?

Troubleshooting is incomplete, then go to step 1 and recheck.
     
NOT COMPLETED
     
     
     
Repair verification is incomplete. Meet the test condition, and check the OBD STATUS again.
