NOTE: Refer to the Electrical Wiring Diagrams for the location of the under-dash fuse/relay box connectors.

YES
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 2.
2.
Fuse check:

Is each fuse OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 3.
     
NO
     
     
     
Replace the fuse. If the fuse blows again, repair a short to ground in the No. A2-2 (60 A), No. B14 (15 A), and/or No. B37 (7.5 A) fuse circuit(s).?
3.
Console accessory power socket relay check:

Console accessory power socket relay check

Remove the console accessory power socket relay from the under-dash fuse/relay box, and test it.

Is the relay OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 4.
     
NO
     
     
     
Replace the console accessory power socket relay, then recheck.?

Open wire check (+B ACC SOCKET (CONSOLE) line) 1:

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode
Console accessory power socket relay: disconnected
Test circuit
+B ACC SOCKET (CONSOLE)

Under-dash fuse/relay box connector R (16P) No. 3 (RED)
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there battery voltage?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 5.
     
NO
     
     
     
5.
Open wire check (+B ACC SOCKET (CONSOLE) line) 2:

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode
Console accessory power socket relay: disconnected
Test circuit
+B ACC SOCKET (CONSOLE)

Console accessory power socket relay 4P socket No. 1 (RED)
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there battery voltage?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 6.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.?

Determine possible failure area (console accessory power socket relay switch side circuit, console accessory power socket relay coil side circuit):

Determine possible failure area (console accessory power socket relay switch side circuit, console accessory power socket relay coil side circuit)

Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.
Terminal A
Console accessory power socket relay 4P socket No. 1 (RED)
Terminal B
Console accessory power socket relay 4P socket No. 2 (PNK)


Does the console accessory power socket work?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 7.
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 10.

Open wire check (ACC line) 1:

Turn the ignition switch to ACC (I), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ACC mode.

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Is there battery voltage?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 8.
     
NO
     
     
     
8.
Open wire check (ACC line) 2:

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
IG ACC (I) or ACC mode
Console accessory power socket relay: disconnected
Test circuit

Console accessory power socket relay 4P socket No. 3 (PUR)
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there battery voltage?

     
YES
     
     
     
ACC wire is OK. Go to step 9.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.?

Open wire check (GND line):

Open wire check (GND line)

Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode
Console accessory power socket relay: disconnected
Test circuit
GND

Console accessory power socket relay 4P socket No. 4 (BRN)
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
GND wire is OK. Replace the console accessory power socket relay.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open or high resistance in the ground wire or poor ground (G503).?

Open wire check (CTR ACC SOCKET line):

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode
Console accessory power socket relay: disconnected
Console accessory power socket relay 4P socket No. 1 and No. 2: jumped
Test circuit

Console accessory power socket 2P connector No. 2 (PNK)
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there battery voltage?

Go to step 11.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.?
