DTC P2195: Rear A/F Sensor (Bank 1, Sensor 1) Signal Stuck Lean
DTC P2197: Front A/F Sensor (Bank 2, Sensor 1) Signal Stuck Lean
NOTE:
Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot, and review the general troubleshooting information.
Information marked with an asterisk (*) applies to the front bank (Bank 2).
If the vehicle was out of fuel and the engine stalled before this DTC was stored, refuel, then clear the DTC with the HDS.
If DTC P2101, P2118, P2135, P2138, P2176, or a combination of P2122 and P2127, P2122 and P2138 or P2127 and P2138 is stored at the same time as DTC P2195 (P2197)*, troubleshoot those DTCs first, then recheck for DTC P2195 (P2197)*.

Check for dirt or debris in the MAF sensor/IAT sensor.

Check the installation of the A/F sensor (Sensor 1).

Is the A/F sensor loose or disconnected from the exhaust pipe?

NO

Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm without load (A/T in P or N, M/T in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on.

Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC P2195 and/or P2197* indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the A/F sensor (Sensor 1) and the PCM. Update the PCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM, then do the repair verification.
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the A/F sensor (Sensor 1) and the PCM.?
Repair verification (OBD STATUS check):

Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

Start the engine, and let it idle without load (A/T in P or N, M/T in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on.

Monitor the OBD STATUS for DTC P2195 and/or P2197* in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.

Does the HDS indicate PASSED, FAILED, or NOT COMPLETED?

     
PASSED (P2195)
     
     
     
Troubleshooting is complete. If the PCM was substituted, replace the original PCM. If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting. ?
     
PASSED (P2197)
     
     
     
Troubleshooting is complete. If the PCM was substituted, replace the original PCM. If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting. ?
     
FAILED (P2195)
     
     
     
Go to step 1 and recheck. If the PCM was updated, substitute a known-good PCM, then check the OBD STATUS again.
     
FAILED (P2197)
     
     
     
Go to step 1 and recheck. If the PCM was updated, substitute a known-good PCM, then check the OBD STATUS again.
     
NOT COMPLETED
     
     
     
Keep the test condition until a result comes on.
