1.
PGM-FI DTCs check:

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

Check for PGM-FI DTCs with the HDS.

YES
     
     
     
Go to indicated DTC's troubleshooting.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 2.

PGM-FI system parameter check 1:

PGM-FI system parameter check 1
NOTE:It may take a minimum of five seconds for the parameter to change.

Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS while pressing the clutch pedal.

YES
     
     
     
Go to step 5.

PGM-FI system parameter check 2:

Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

?2.
Disconnect the following connector.

?3.
Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.

Does it indicate CLOSE?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 4.

4.
Shorted wire check (CLUTCH SW (CRUISE) line):

Shorted wire check (CLUTCH SW (CRUISE) line)

Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

?2.
Short the SCS line with the HDS.


?3.
Disconnect the following connector.

?4.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode
 
Clutch pedal position switch B (3P) connector : disconnected

PCM connector A (51P): disconnected
Test circuit
CLUTCH SW (CRUISE)
Test point 1
Clutch pedal position switch B 3P connector No. 2 (PNK)
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
Repair a short to body ground in the wire between the PCM and the clutch pedal position switch B.?
     
NO
     
     
     
The CLUTCH SW (CRUISE) wire is OK. Update the PCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM, then retest.
5.
VSA modulator-control unit check:

VSA modulator-control unit check
?1.
Clear the DTC with the HDS.


?2.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

?3.
Test-drive the vehicle at 25 mph (40 km/h) or more for 2 seconds or more.
NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.

?4.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 118-11 indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 6.
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting.?

VSA modulator-control unit check (update):

VSA modulator-control unit check (update)

?2.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

?3.
Test-drive the vehicle at 25 mph (40 km/h) or more for 2 seconds or more.
NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.

?4.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 118-11 indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Check for loose terminals in the VSA modulator-control unit 21P connector. If the VSA modulator-control unit was updated and the symptom/indication is still present, replace the VSA modulator-control unit.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Troubleshooting is complete. If any other DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTCs troubleshooting.?
