Low oil pressure indicator does not come on with the ignition switch in ON (II) or vehicle in the ON mode
1.

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle. If it does not communicate, go to the DLC circuit trouble shooting.

Check for DTCs. If a DTC is present, diagnose, and repair the cause before continuing with this test.


?5.
Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, and check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.

Oil pressure switch test:

Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

Is the oil pressure switch OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 3.
     
NO

Open wire check (ENG OP SW line):

Open wire check (ENG OP SW line)

Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

?2.
Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
NOTE: This step must be done to protect the PCM from damage.

Disconnect the following connectors.

?4.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode
PCM connector B (51P): disconnected
Oil pressure switch 1P connector: disconnected
Test circuit
ENG OP SW
Test point 1
PCM connector B (51P) No. 34 (YEL/RED)
Test point 2
Oil pressure switch 1P connector No. 1 (YEL/RED)
 


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
Update the PCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM, then recheck. If the PCM was substituted, and the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original PCM.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open in the ENG OP SW wire between the oil pressure switch and the PCM.?
