Check the vehicle battery condition first.
Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.

Check the backlight of multi-information display unit.

Does the backlight of multi-information display unit turn on?

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

The +B AUDIO wire is OK. Go to step 5.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open in the wire between the No. A22 (10 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box and the multi-information display unit.?

Repair an open in the wire between the No. B37 (7.5A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and the multi-information display unit.?

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Is there less than 0.2 V?

Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the multi-information display unit and body ground (G505).?

Determine possible failure area (GA BUS lines, others):

Determine possible failure area (GA BUS lines, others)

Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and use the System Link to check the Upper Display icon status.

Is the Upper Display icon green?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 8.
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 11.

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

Disconnect the following connector.

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

Audio unit connector H (3P): disconnected

Is there continuity?

There is a short in the wires between the audio unit and the multi-information display unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.?
     
NO
     
     
     
The SH LVDS wire is OK. Go to step 9.

The LVDS+ and the LVDS? wires are OK. Go to step 10.
     
NO
     
     
     
There is an open in the wire(s) between the audio unit and the multi-information display unit. Replace affected shielded harness.?

Reconnect all the connectors, and recheck.
