DTC P0035:Turbocharger Bypass Control Solenoid Valve Circuit High Voltage General Description
The turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve is activated by the powertrain control module (PCM) to control the turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve timing to improve boost response during acceleration immediately after deceleration and boost pressure decrease during deceleration. The turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve is normally closed (negative pressure side). If the return signal is OPEN for a specified duration when the PCM outputs a CLOSE signal to the turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC. The return signal is OPEN for at least 1 second when the PCM outputs a CLOSE signal to the turbocharger bypass control solenoid valve. Possible Cause

Confirmation Procedure
Operating Condition
Start the engine, and let it idle for at least 1 second. With the HDS
Do the ABV TEST in the INSPECTION MENU with the HDS. Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected during the first drive cycle, a Pending DTC is stored in the PCM memory. If the malfunction returns in the next (second) drive cycle, the MIL comes on and a Confirmed DTC and the freeze data are stored. Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the 12 volt battery. |
