DTC Advanced Diagnostics: P0010
DTC P0010:Variable Valve Timing Control (VTC) Oil Control Solenoid Valve A Malfunction General Description
The variable valve timing control (VTC) oil control solenoid valve A circuit is monitored for electrical faults. The diagnosis is performed by a dedicated integrated circuit which is capable of detecting a short circuit to the battery, a short circuit to ground as well as circuit continuity faults. If the VTC oil control solenoid valve A voltage is out of normal range, the powertrain control module (PCM) detects a malfunction and stores a DTC. Monitor Execution, Sequence, Duration, DTC Type
