DTC P065A:ACG No Charging Malfunction

General Description

The powertrain control module (PCM) continuously monitors the alternator via the local interconnect network (LIN) line. If the PCM receives information during the engine is running that the alternator is not generating a power nor rotating, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Electrical or mechanical fault of the alternator is reported via the LIN.

Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the PCM memory. The MIL does not come on.

Conditions for clearing the DTC
The Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command.
