DTC Advanced Diagnostics: P0615
DTC P0615:Starter Cut Relay Diagnosis Circuit Malfunction General Description
The diagnosis of the starter cut relays are done at the engine starting operation with enable conditions for the diagnosis are fulfilled. To check both starter cut relays, the switching off sequence of the driver ICs are changed at the end of every starter operation. The testing of starter cut relay circuit fault is done when both relays are powered during start. If the voltage of starter cut relay diagnostic line is a specified value, the powertrain control module (PCM) detects a malfunction and stores a DTC. Monitor Execution, Sequence, Duration, DTC Type
Enable Conditions
Malfunction Threshold
The diagnosis line (ST RLY1 TO 2) input voltage [Starter Cut Relay] is between 2.14 V to 3.01 V for at least 0.3 second. Possible Cause
NOTE: The causes shown may not be a complete list of all potential problems, and it is possible that there may be other causes.
Confirmation Procedure
Operating Condition
Start the engine, and let it idle. Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected during the first drive cycle, a Pending DTC is stored in the PCM memory. If the malfunction returns in the next (second) drive cycle, a Confirmed DTC and the freeze data are stored. The MIL does not come on. Conditions for clearing the DTC
The Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command. |
