DTC Advanced Diagnostics: P00CF
DTC P00CF:Turbocharger Boost Sensor/Barometric Pressure (BARO) Sensor Incorrect Correlation General Description
The turbocharger boost sensor is checked for signal faults by two methods. A cross check is done once per driving cycle after the vehicle is turned to the ON mode until the engine start, and the pressure sensors are compared. As soon as environmental pressure is in the whole air system, the differences between each pressure sensor are balanced by the usage of calculated offset values. After starting the engine, a continuous check is done to compare the signals of the turbocharger boost sensor and the barometric pressure (BARO) sensor. If a certain deviation occurs between the turbocharger boost sensor and the compared sensor, the powertrain control module (PCM) detects a malfunction and stores a DTC. Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the PCM memory. Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command. |
