SRS System Description - Impact Sensor
Impact Sensor
The G-force sensor within the impact sensor detects the force upon a collision. If the impact exceeds a preset threshold value, it is converted into an electrical signal that is sent to the SRS unit.

Front impact sensor: The front impact sensors are installed at the right and left front side frame. They detect the frontal vehicle impacts. |

Side impact sensor: The first and second side impact sensors are installed at the right and left floor near the front door and rear door (4/5-door). They detect the lateral vehicle impacts. | |
