Air Mix Control Motor/Mode Control Motor/Recirculation Control Motor Removal and Installation

SRS components are located near the mode control motor and the recirculation control motor. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

NOTE:
Set the VENT position before removing the mode control motor.
Set the FRESH position before removing the recirculation control motor.
Set the MAX COOL position before removing the air mix control motor.
The air mix control motor and the driver's air mix control motor are the same parts.

NOTE: Numbers in table indicate parts removal order.

3. All Removed Parts - Install

Air mix control motor

Passenger's air mix control motor (With dual zone climate control)

Install the parts in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
When you install the air mix control motor and the passenger's air mix control motor (A), align the position of the damper lever pins (B), then install control motor.
After installation, do the Self-Diagnostic Function with the HDS or the climate control unit.
