Intermediate Shaft Removal and Installation

NOTE: Unless otherwise indicated, illustrations used in the procedure are for 1.5 L engine.

1.	Vehicle - Lift

2.	Transmission Fluid - Drain

3.	Right Front Wheel - Remove

4.	Right Driveshaft - Remove

5.	Intermediate Shaft Assembly - Remove

NOTE: Hold the intermediate shaft horizontal until it is clear of the differential to prevent damaging the oil seal (A).

6.	All Removed Parts - Install

Clean the areas where the intermediate shaft contacts the differential thoroughly with solvent, then dry them with compressed air.

NOTE: Do not wash the rubber parts with solvent.

Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

7.	Wheel Alignment - Check

8.	Test Drive - Check
