Rear Door Sash Outer Trim Removal and Installation

Rear Door Sash Outer Trim - Remove
1.
Pull away the rear door weatherstrip (A), then remove the screw (B) securing the rear door outer molding (C).

Pull out the glass run channel (D) as needed.
3.
Cut the double-sided adhesive tapes (E) with a utility knife.
4.
Release the upper edge of the rear door sash outer trim (F) from the rear door outer molding.
NOTE: Pull the rear door outer molding only as needed to remove the upper edge of the rear door sash outer trim. Excessive pulling will cause the molding to get damaged resulting in replacement.
5.
Release the hook (G), then remove the rear door sash outer trim.
6.
Remove any remaining double-sided adhesive tapes from the rear door sash outer trim and the rear door sash, then clean the surfaces with a sponge dampened with isopropyl alcohol. After cleaning, keep oil, grease, and water from getting on the clean surface.

All Removed Parts - Install
1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE : If you are reusing the original rear door sash outer trim (A), apply the adhesive primer to the areas where the new double-sided adhesive tapes (B, C) will be applied, then attach the new double-sided adhesive tapes to the rear door sash outer trim along the alignment lines (D) as shown.
