NOTE: If millimeter wave radar aiming cannot be completed, follow the procedure below to check that the millimeter wave radar is installed properly and the radar bracket is not deformed. Based on the check results, replace faulty parts. After that, perform millimeter wave radar aiming again.

2. Millimeter Wave Radar Mounting Position - Inspect

NOTE:
When the millimeter wave radar is adjusted on a floor surface that has more than one degree of horizontal slope (drainage slope), the vertical radar aiming cannot be adjusted correctly. Check the levelness of the floor surface, but if there is a continuous slope, then adjust the angle of millimeter wave radar so it is parallel to the floor surface. Lay a ruler or other flat straight object on the floor surface and put the level on top to confirm the levelness of the floor surface.
Make sure the steering wheel is pointed straight ahead, and do not turn it after setting up the vehicle.

1.
Put the level on the millimeter wave radar.

NOTE:
Use the level included in the alignment set.
To correctly confirm the bubble position in the level, have a look from the side.

2.
Confirm if the bubble in the level is between the lines.

NOTE: If the bubble is not within the lines, adjust the mounting position using the vertical adjustment bolt (A).

3.
Remove the level.

3. Millimeter Wave Radar Bracket - Inspect

3.
Measure the angles of the installing surface of the millimeter wave radar and the vehicle-side which the millimeter wave radar is installed and check if these angles are 90 degrees:

If either of the angles are not 90 degrees, replace the radar bracket.
