Tailgate Upper Spoiler Removal and Installation
1. Tailgate Upper Spoiler - Remove

Open the tailgate.
2.
Remove the bolts (A).
3.
Remove the tailgate upper spoiler (A).

2. Tailgate Upper Spoiler Seal - Remove


3. All Removed Parts - Install
1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
Clean the spoiler surfaces where the seals are applied with a shop towel dampened with isopropyl alcohol. After cleaning, keep oil, grease, and water from getting on the surface.
If you are reusing the original seals, apply adhesive primer to the areas where the new double-sided adhesive tape will be applied, and then attach the new double-sided adhesive tapes to the seals as shown.

Thickness 0.2 mm (0.008 in)
 
Width 5 mm (0.20 in)

Adhesive tape requirements (B):
Thickness 0.2 mm (0.008 in)
 
Width 7 mm (0.28 in)
 
Length 85 mm (3.35 in)
Adhesive tape requirements (C):
Thickness 0.2 mm (0.008 in)
 
Inner diameter 19 mm (0.75 in)
 
Outer diameter 29 mm (1.14 in)
Adhesive tape requirements (Left/Right):
Thickness 0.2 mm (0.008 in)
 
Width (Inside) 7 mm (0.28 in)
 
Width (Outside) 2 mm (0.008 in)
 
Length (Inside) 77.5 mm (3.051 in)
