Clutch Hose and Line Inspection

NOTE:
Replace the clutch hose if it is twisted, cracked, and leaks.
Replace the clutch lines if it is damaged, rusted, and leaks.
When attaching the clutch reservoir hose, align the paint mark on the hose to the connector rib on the clutch master cylinder connection area.
When attaching the clutch reservoir hose, align the paint mark on the hose to the connector rib on the clutch reservoir connection area.
Use fender covers to avoid damaging painted surfaces.
Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle; it may damage the paint or plastic. If brake fluid gets on the paint or plastic, wash it off immediately with water.
When using some special tools or crowfoot-type wrenches, the torque value changes due to the added leverage. The actual torque applied will be greater than the torque reading shown. Refer to Service Precautions for details on how to recalculate the torque wrench setting.
