Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

Press the engine start/stop switch at least 20 times, then wait for at least 20 seconds. |

Check for DTCs with the HDS.

|
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.? |

Determine possible failure area (+B SMART line or GND line, Other):
Determine possible failure area (+B SMART line or GND line, Other)

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode. |
?2. |
Disconnect the following connector.
Engine start/stop switch 10P connector | |

?3. |
Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition |
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Engine start/stop switch 10P connector: disconnected |

Engine start/stop switch 10P connector No. 5 |

Is there battery voltage?

|
The +B SMART wire and GND wire is OK. Go to step 3. |
|
|
|
|

Shorted wire check (SS1+, SS2- lines):
Shorted wire check (SS1+, SS2- lines)

Disconnect the following connector.
Body control module connector G (32P) | |

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 individually.

Is there continuity?
|
|
|
Repair short to ground in the wire.? |
|
|
|
The SS1+ and SS2- wires are not shorted. Go to step 4. |
4. |
Open wire check (SS1+, SS2- lines):
Open wire check (SS1+, SS2- lines)

Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.
|
?2. |
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
