: VTC A Advance Malfunction
NOTE:
Before you troubleshoot,
review the general troubleshooting information
.
If DTC P0341 is stored at the same time as DTC P1009, troubleshoot DTC P1009 first, then recheck for DTC P0341.
If DTC P1009 set after replacing the VTC actuator, verify that the correct timing marks on the crank pulley were used.

Clear the DTC with the HDS.

Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC P1009 indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
If the on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the on-board snapshot

Go to step 3.

Replace VTC oil control solenoid valve A

Check the VTC system oil passages and clean them if needed.?
