C1C21-62 Reverse Information Failure (Stuck)
 

1.
DTC check:

DTC check
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

?2.
Clear the DTC with the HDS.


?3.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?4.
Test-drive the vehicle at 37 mph (60 km/h) or more for 3 seconds or more and stop. Shift the shift lever into reverse and test-drive the vehicle in reverse 3 times or more.
NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.

?5.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC C1C21-62 indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
If only DTC C1C21-62 is indicated, go to step 2.
     
YES
     
     
     
If DTC U0029-00 or U0101-00 are also indicated, go to DTC U0029-00 or U0101-00.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting.?

Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.

Does the parameter changes when the shift lever is in reverse, and then shift lever is not in reverse?

     
YES
     
     
     
Check for loose terminals and poor connections in the VSA modulator-control unit 46P connector. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting. If they are OK, replace the VSA modulator-control unit.?
