Problem verification:

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
?2.
Clear the DTC with the HDS.
?3.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then start the engine.
?4.
Test-drive the vehicle at 12 mph (20 km/h) or more for 30 seconds or more.
NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.
?5.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC C1432-62 indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the Freeze data/on-board snapshot.?

PGM-FI system DTC check:

Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs in the PGM-FI system with the HDS.
Turn off the VSA function by using the VSA OFF switch.
?3.
Run the vehicle for 60 seconds or more while in the 4th gear (M/T) or in the D position/mode (CVT).

Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.

Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting, or substitute a known-good PCM, then recheck. If DTC C1432-62 goes away and the PCM was substituted, replace the original PCM.?
NO
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the EPS control unit connector B (6P). Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting. If they are OK, replace the EPS motor/control unit.?
