This DTC is stored when the millimeter wave radar determines that the detection capability (sensitivity) has decreased. A decrease in the detection capability (sensitivity) of the millimeter wave radar does not always mean a there is an obstruction on the radar surface.

Wipe off any dirt or dust off the millimeter wave radar surface and cover and test drive the vehicle. If the DTC is not record again, the millimeter wave radar is OK.
The functions of the integrated driver support system that will be temporarily canceled when this DTC is recorded can be confirmed with the DTC troubleshooting index.

Check for dirt and dust on the radar cover surface.

Remove the radar cover, and check for dirt and dust on the inner side of the radar cover.

Check for dirt and dust on the millimeter wave radar surface.
Is it surface dirty?
YES
Clean the millimeter wave radar and/or the radar cover. After cleaning, install the radar cover, then go to step 2.
NO
Go to step 2.

Problem verification:

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
?2.
Clear the DTC with the HDS.
?3.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
?4.
Test-drive the vehicle at speeds 25 mph (40 km/h) or more for 2 minutes.
?5.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.
