P0106 MAP Sensor Range/Performance Problem
DTC (PGM-FI)

Parts condition check:
Parts condition check

Check for poor connections or damage to these parts:
PCV hose
Purge (PCS) line
Air cleaner
Intake air duct
Intake manifold
Throttle body
Are the parts OK?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Repair or replace the damaged part(s).?
2.
MAP sensor visual check:
MAP sensor visual check
?1.
Remove MAP sensor/IAT sensor 2
.
?2.
Check the MAP sensor port for clogging or restrictions (foreign material, carbon or sludge, etc.).
Is the MAP sensor port clogged or restricted?
YES
Remove the clog or restriction from the MAP sensor port.?
NO
Reinstall MAP sensor/IAT sensor 2
, then go to step 3.
3.
Problem verification:
Problem verification
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
?2.
Clear the DTC with the HDS.
Clear DTC
?3.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
?4.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
?5.
Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC P0106 indicated?
YES
Replace MAP sensor/IAT sensor 2

NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at MAP sensor/IAT sensor 2 and the PCM.
If the on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the on-board snapshot
