DTC Troubleshooting: U0100-00, U0122-00, U0131-00, U0151-00
DTC U0100-00: CAN Communication Failure with PCM/TCM
DTC U0122-00: F-CAN Communication With VSA Modulator-Control Unit Malfunction
DTC U0131-00: F-CAN Communication With EPS Malfunction
DTC U0151-00: CAN Communication Failure with SRS
NOTE:
Refer to the DTC code shown on the display, and then inspect the connectors and terminals based on the instructions in the table below.
These DTC(s) may be stored due to the power/ground circuit failure of the appropriate transmitting control unit. Before this troubleshooting, check the power/ground circuit of the appropriate transmitting control unit first.

Problem verification:

Problem verification
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

?2.
Clear the DTC with the HDS.

Is DTC U0100-00, U0122-00, U0131-00, or U0151-00 indicated?

YES

The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.

NO

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the transmitting control units, and adaptive damper control unit. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.?
2.
Open wire check (F-CAN_H line, F-CAN_L line):

Open wire check (F-CAN_H line, F-CAN_L line)
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.
Disconnect the following connector.
Adaptive damper control unit 24P connector

?3.
Disconnect the appropriate transmitting control unit connector.
NOTE:

Before disconnecting the SRS unit connector, do the 12 volt battery terminal disconnection procedure and wait for at least 3 minutes.
Before disconnecting the PCM connector, jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

The F-CAN_H wire and the F-CAN_L wire are OK. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting.
According to the detected DTC on the following table, substitute or replace the correspond control unit.?
DTC
Operation For Transmitting Control Unit
U0100-00
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the adaptive damper control unit and the PCM. Substitute a known-good PCM, then recheck. If DTC U0100-00 goes away and the PCM was substituted, replace the original PCM.
U0122-00
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the adaptive damper control unit and the VSA modulator-control unit. Replace the VSA modulator-control unit.
U0131-00
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the adaptive damper control unit and the EPS motor/control unit. Substitute a known-good EPS motor/control unit, then recheck. If DTC U0131-00 goes away and the EPS motor/control unit was substituted, replace the original EPS motor/control unit.
U0151-00
Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the adaptive damper control unit and the SRS unit. Substitute a known-good SRS unit, then recheck. If DTC U0151-00 goes away and the SRS unit was substituted, replace the original SRS unit.

NO

Repair an open in the F-CAN_H wire and/or the F-CAN_L wire between the adaptive damper control unit and the appropriate transmitting control unit.?
