Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

Do the All DTCs check with the HDS.


Are there DTCs indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Do the DTC troubleshooting.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 2.

Fuse check 1:

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

Check the following fuse.

Is the fuse OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
The fuse is OK. Reinstall the fuse, then go to step 4.
     
NO
     
     
     
Replace the fuse. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then the OFF (LOCK) mode. If the fuse blows again, repair the short to body ground on the No. B34 fuse circuit.?

The fuse is OK. Reinstall the fuse, then go to step 5.

Replace the fuse. If the fuse blows again, repair the short to body ground on the No. A3-2 fuse circuit.?

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

Disconnect the following connector.
VSA modulator-control unit 46P connector

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

?4.
Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Body ground

Is there battery voltage?

     
YES
     
     
     
The IG1 VSA/ABS wire is OK. Go to step 6.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open in the wire between the VSA modulator-control unit and the No. B34 fuse.?
6.
Open wire check (+B ABS/VSA FSR line):

Open wire check (+B ABS/VSA FSR line)

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.
Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
 
VSA modulator-control unit 46P connector: disconnected

Is there battery voltage?

     
YES
     
     
     
The +B ABS/VSA FSR wire is OK. Go to step 7.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open in the wire between the VSA modulator-control unit and the No. A3-2 fuse.?

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

The GND wire is OK. Go to step 8.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open in the wire between the VSA modulator-control unit and body ground (G303).?

Reconnect the following connector.
VSA modulator-control unit 46P connector

Select the FUNCTION TEST in the CAN gateway with the HDS, then select the F-CAN Bus Connected Unit Check.

Gauge control module (Bus C) is Not Available
     
     
     
Go to step 9.
     
VSA modulator-control unit (Bus A) is Not Available
     
     
     
Go to step 10.
     
VSA modulator-control unit (Bus B) is Not Available
     
     
     
Go to step 11.
     
VSA modulator-control unit and gauge control module are Detected
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting.?

Open wire check (F-CAN C_H, F-CAN C_L lines):

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

Disconnect the following connectors.
CAN gateway 16P connector
Gauge control module connector A (32P)

?3.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

CAN gateway 16P connector: disconnected
 
Gauge control module connector A (32P): disconnected

CAN gateway 16P connector (female terminals) No. 5:

Is there continuity?

The F-CAN C_H and the F-CAN C_L wires are OK. Check for loose terminals in the CAN gateway 16P connector and the gauge control module connector A (32P) connector. If they are OK, substitute a known-good gauge control module, then retest. If the indicators come on then go off after substitution, replace the original gauge control module.?
