DTC Advanced Diagnostics: P0835
DTC P0835:Clutch Pedal Position Switch B Circuit Low Voltage General Description
The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the clutch pedal position switch A/C (Depress side: CLUTCH SW(SA)) and the clutch pedal position switch B/D (Release side: CLUTCH SW(CRUISE)) signals to switch the starting system from auto control mode to manual mode when it malfunctions. When the PCM cannot detect an ON signal from clutch pedal position switch B/D (Release side: CLUTCH SW(CRUISE)) while the clutch pedal is released, the detection continues after the vehicle is turned to the OFF (LOCK) mode. If the malfunction continues for a set time after the vehicle is turned to the OFF (LOCK) mode, the PCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC. Monitor Execution, Sequence, Duration, DTC Type

Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected during the first drive cycle, a Pending DTC is stored in the PCM memory. If the malfunction returns in the next (second) drive cycle, a Confirmed DTC and the freeze data are stored. The MIL does not come on. Conditions for clearing the DTC
The Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the 12 volt battery. |
