Mode Control Motor Removal and Installation

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

NOTE: Set the VENT position before removing the mode control motor.

2. Mode Control Motor - Remove
1.
Disconnect the connector (A).
2.
Remove the clip (B).
3.
Remove the mode control motor (C).

1. Mode Control Motor - Install
1.
Make sure the mode door and linkage move smoothly.
2.
Align the position of the damper lever pins (A), then install the mode control motor (B).
NOTE: Make sure the damper lever pins in the motor lever are visible through the holes.
3.
Install the clip (C).
4.
Connect the connector (D).
5.
After installation, make sure the motor runs smoothly.
