Audio System Error Codes
NOTE: The audio system can display a few error codes when some problems are detected with the audio disc player, the audio disc, the USB, and the XM radio. This is not a complete list of audio error codes. Refer to symptom troubleshooting.

Audio Unit Error Messages (With Display Audio)

The system is unable to start due to excessive heat. The system will start after the system cools
The unit detects a high temperature.
This message appears briefly when the ECU temperature is too high, and then turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode until the temperature cools down. The system turns back on when the unit cools down.


CD Error Messages

Bad Disc Please Check Owners Manual
There is a problem with the disc player (EJECT error). A common problem is paper disc labels coming off the disc while in the player or the disc is not set in the proper position.
Try to eject the disc and try another one. If there is still a problem, replace the audio unit.
Heat Error
In the DISC mode, the high temperature detection circuit around the pick-up mechanism detects a high temperature.
Park the vehicle in a cooler place for a while. If the high temperature status is cancelled, the error code is cancelled, If the error code is still present, replace the audio unit.
Check Disc
A reading error is detected because of a problem in the disc, or a disc was not supported.
If disc reading is impossible even after retries for 3 times, an error display appears for 5 seconds before EJECT button is operated. If EJECT button cannot be operated, the audio unit is placed in the EJECT error status. Try to eject the disc and try another disc. If there is still a problem, replace the audio unit.
Unplayable File
Track/File format not supported.
Current track is skipped. The next supported track or file plays automatically
Verify that CD, CD-R or CD-RW file names end in CD-A or WMA
Verify that CD, CD-R or CD-RW with compressed music formats end in MP3 or WMA
Other file formats like iTunes or Ogg are not recognized
WMA files may have (DRM) copy protection, and cannot be read
Mecha Error
There is a problem with the disc player (except EJECT error)
Power supply error to the disc player
Press the EJECT button and hold it for 5 seconds. If the disc does not eject, try again. If the disc still won't eject, replace the audio unit.


USB Error Messages

Faulty power supply to USB device.

Bad USB Device Please Check Owners Manual*2
Faulty power supply to USB device.
Disconnect the USB device, and turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode then the ON mode. Then connect a known-good USB device to the USB port. If the error message appears on the screen, replace the audio unit.
Connect Retry
The audio unit failed to synchronize with the iPod.
Appears when the system does not acknowledge the iPod. Reconnect the iPod.
No Data
No music file(s) can be found in a USB device.
Check the music files in the USB device.
USB Error
There is a internal problem with the audio unit.
Unplayable File
The audio unit cannot read the file (s).
Check the files in the USB device. There is a possibility that the files have been damaged
The WMA files or the AAC file cannot be read with the (DRM) copy protection rights
Unsupported
Unsupported USB device is connected
Unsupported file system
USB device communication error
Connect the applicable USB device (see the Owner's Manual).
Unsupported Version
Unsupported version iPod is connected.
Connect the applicable iPod (see the Owner's Manual).

XM Error Messages

No Signal
Loss of signal.
Both terrestrial and satellite antennas have lost the signal. Park the vehicle outside with a clear view of the southern horizon.
Antenna Disconnected
XM antenna or XM antenna lead error.
With navigation: Navigation DTCs
Without navigation: Audio DTCs
Antenna Shorted
Requested Channel Not Subscribed
Selected XM channel is not subscribed.
Check the XM channel subscription status.
