Brake Booster Removal and Installation
1. Air Cleaner - Remove


2. Front Tower Bar - Remove (If equipped)


3. Master Cylinder - Remove


4. Under-Hood Fuse/Relay Box Bracket - Remove


1.
Remove the under-hood fuse/relay box rear bracket mounting bolts (A).

2.
Move the under-hood fuse/relay box rear bracket (B) aside.





3.
Remove the under-hood fuse/relay box front bracket (A).

5. Brake Line - Remove

Remove the brake lines (A) from the brake line clamp (B).


6. Brake Booster - Remove

1.
Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose (A) from the brake booster (B).






2.
Remove the lock pin (A).

3.
Remove the clevis pin (B).

4.
Remove the brake booster mounting nuts (C).





5.
Remove the brake booster (A) from the engine compartment.

NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the brake booster mounting surfaces and the threads on the booster studs.
Be careful not to bend or damage the brake lines.

1. Brake Booster - Install

1.
Install the brake booster (A) with the new brake booster gasket (B).

NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the brake booster mounting surfaces and the threads on the booster studs.
Be careful not to bend or damage the brake lines.






2.
Install the brake booster mounting nuts (A).

3.
Install the clevis pin (B).

NOTE: Apply multipurpose grease to the clevis pin in the brake pedal.

4.
Install the lock pin (C).





5.
Connect the brake booster vacuum hose (A) to the brake booster (B).

2. Brake Line - Install

Install the brake lines (A) to the brake line clamp (B).


3. Under-Hood Fuse/Relay Box Bracket - Install

1.
Install the under-hood fuse/relay box front bracket (A).





2.
Install the under-hood fuse/relay box rear bracket (A).

4. Master Cylinder - Install


5. Front Tower Bar - Install (If equipped)


6. Air Cleaner - Install


7. Brake Pedal Height and Free Play - Check
