Parking Brake Cable Removal and Installation
1. Parking Brake Cable - Exploded View

Exploded View



NOTE: Refer to the Exploded View as needed during this procedure.

1. Vehicle - Lift

Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Rear Wheel - Remove

Remove the rear wheel.

3. Center Console - Remove

Remove the center console.

4. Parking Brake Cable Lever Side - Disconnect
1.
Release the parking brake lever fully.
2.
Remove the wire guide base (A).
3.
Disconnect the parking brake cables (B) from the equalizer (C).

5. Front Floor Brace - Remove
Remove the front floor brace (A).


6. Heat Shield - Remove
Remove the heat shield (A).


7. Parking Brake Cable - Remove
1.
Remove the parking brake cable mounting bolt (A).
2.
Disconnect the parking brake cable (B) from the lever (C).
NOTE: Be careful not to bend or distort the cable and boot (D).
3.
Remove the parking brake cable grommets (A).
4.
Pull out the parking brake cables (B) from the body floor.
5.
Remove the parking brake cables (A).
NOTE: Be careful not to bend or distort the cable.


NOTE: Refer to the Exploded View as needed during this procedure.

1. Parking Brake Cable - Install
1.
Install the parking brake cables (A).
NOTE: Be careful not to bend or distort the cable.
2.
Install the parking brake cable grommets (A).
3.
Connect the parking brake cable (A) to the lever (B).
NOTE: Be careful not to bend or distort the cable and boot (C).
4.
Install the parking brake cable mounting bolt (D).

2. Heat Shield - Install
Install the heat shield (A).


3. Front Floor Brace - Install
Install the front floor brace (A).


4. Parking Brake Cable Lever Side - Disconnect
1.
Connect the parking brake cables (A) to the equalizer (B).
2.
Install the wire guide base (C).

5. Center Console - Install

Install the center console.

6. Rear Wheel - Install

Install the rear wheel.

7. Parking Brake - Adjust

Adjust the parking brake.
