Front Seat Removal and Installation

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations, 2-door, 4-door and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

1. Front Seat Belt Lower Anchor Bolt - Remove

Remove the front seat belt lower anchor bolt.

2. Rear Foot Covers - Remove
Remove the rear foot covers (A).


3. Front Seat Mounting Bolts - Remove
1.
Remove the front seat rear mounting bolts (A).
2.
Slide the front seat all the way backward.
3.
Remove the front seat front mounting bolts (A).

4. Battery Terminal - Disconnect

Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure.

5. Front Seat - Remove

2-door - Driver's seat (manual seat)

2-door - Driver's seat (power seat)

4-door - Driver's seat

2-door - Passenger's seat (without sitting switch)

2-door - Passenger's seat (with sitting switch)

4-door - Passenger's seat (manual seat without sitting switch)

4-door - Passenger's seat (manual seat with sitting switch)

4-door - Passenger's seat (power seat)

Lift up the front seat, then disconnect these items:
Harness clip (A)
Side airbag connector (B)
Floor wire harness connector (C)
Seat belt buckle switch connector (D)
Seat position sensor connector (E)
Sitting switch connector (F)
2.
Remove the head restraint.
3.
With the help of an assistant, carefully remove the front seat through the front door opening.

2-door - Driver's seat (manual seat)

2-door - Driver's seat (power seat)

4-door - Driver's seat

2-door - Passenger's seat (without sitting switch)

2-door - Passenger's seat (with sitting switch)

4-door - Passenger's seat (manual seat without sitting switch)

4-door - Passenger's seat (manual seat with sitting switch)

4-door - Passenger's seat (power seat)
1.
With the help of an assistant, carefully install the front seat through the front door opening.
2.
Install the head restraint.
3.
Lift up the front seat, then reconnect these items:
Harness clip (A)
Side airbag connector (B)
Floor wire harness connector (C)
Seat belt buckle switch connector (D)
Seat position sensor connector (E)
Sitting switch connector (F)

2. Battery Terminal - Connect

Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure.

3. Front Seat Mounting Bolts - Install
1.
Install the front seat front mounting bolts (A).
NOTE: Tighten the bolts by hand first, then tighten them to the specified torque in the sequence shown.
2.
Slide the front seat all the way forward.
3.
Install the front seat rear mounting bolts (A).
NOTE: Tighten the bolts by hand first, then tighten them to the specified torque in the sequence shown.

4. Rear Foot Covers - Install
Install the rear foot covers (A).


5. Front Seat Belt Lower Anchor Bolt - Install

Install the front seat belt lower anchor bolt.
