Evaporator Expansion Valve Removal and Installation
1. Evaporator Core - Remove

Remove the evaporator core.

2. Expansion Valve - Remove

Remove the insulator (A).

Remove the expansion valve (B).


NOTE: Replace the O-rings with new one at each fitting, and apply a thin coat of refrigerant oil (DENSO ND-OIL 8) before installing them. Be sure to use the correct O-rings for HFC-134a (R-134a) to avoid leakage.

1. Expansion Valve - Install

Install the expansion valve (A) with new O-rings (B) that are lubricated with clean refrigerant oil.
2.
Install the insulator (C).

2. Evaporator Core - Install

Install the evaporator core.
