Evaporator Core Removal and Installation

2. A/C lines - Remove

Remove the clamp (A).

Remove the receiver line (B).





4.
Disconnect the A/C lines (A).

3. Blower Unit - Remove


4. Passenger's Air Mix Control Motor - Remove (with climate control)


5. Evaporator Core Cover- Remove

Disconnect the power transistor connector (A).

2.
Disconnect the evaporator temperature sensor connector (B)

3.
Remove the connector clip (C).

4.
Remove the evaporator core cover (D).

6. Evaporator Core - Remove

Carefully pull out the evaporator core (A), then remove the plate (B).


7. Evaporator Temperature Sensor - Remove


8. Expansion Valve - Remove

NOTE: Replace the O-rings with new one at each fitting, and apply a thin coat of refrigerant oil (DENSO ND-OIL 8) before installing them. Be sure to use the correct O-rings for HFC-134a (R-134a) to avoid leakage.

2. Evaporator Temperature Sensor - Install


3. Evaporator Core - Install

Install the plate (A).

2.
Carefully install the evaporator core (B) without bending the lines.

4. Expansion Valve Cover - Install


1.
Install the evaporator core cover (A) and the new seal (B).

2.
Install the connector clip (C).

3.
Connect the evaporator temperature sensor connector (D).

4.
Connect the power transistor connector (E).

5. Passenger's Air Mix Control Motor - Install (with climate control)


6. Blower Unit - Install


7. A/C lines - Install

1.
Connect the A/C lines (A) with new O-rings (B) that are lubricated with clean refrigerant oil.






2.
Install the receiver line (A).

3.
Install the clamp (B).
