Remove the evaporator temperature sensor (A) and the clip (B).
1.
Evaporator Temperature Sensor - Test
1.
Dip the sensor in ice water, and measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 2.
2.
Then pour warm water on the sensor, and check for a change in resistance.
3.
Compare the resistance readings with the specifications shown in the graph; the resistance should be within the specifications.
4.
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the evaporator temperature sensor.

Evaporator Temperature Sensor - Install
Installing into the factory-preset position
Installing into the new position
1.
Install the evaporator temperature sensor (A) in the evaporator core (B), and note these items:
When the evaporator temperature sensor is installed into the new evaporator core, set the sensor into the factory-preset position (C, D).
When the evaporator temperature sensor is reinstalled into the original evaporator core, set the sensor into the new position (E, F) because the fin may be deforming by the previous installation.
