Moonroof Frame and Drain Tube Removal and Installation

Moonroof Frame

1. Headliner - Remove

Remove the headliner.

2. Moonroof Frame - Remove

Disconnect the front drain tubes (A) and the rear drain tubes (B).

2-door: Disconnect the rear middle drain tube (C).
3.
With the help of an assistant, remove the moonroof frame (A).

Front Drain Tube

1. Both Kick Panels - Remove

Remove both kick panels.

2. Glove Box - Remove

Remove the glove box.

3. Headliner - Remove

Remove the headliner.

4. Front Drain Tube - Remove
1.
Pull the front drain valve (A) out of the body hole.
2.
Tie a string to the top end of the front drain tube (B), then pull the drain tube down out of the pillar. Leave the string in the pillar to use when reinstalling the drain tube.

Rear Drain Tube

1. Rear Side Trim Panel - Remove (2-Door)

Remove the rear side trim panel.

2. Trunk Side Trim Panel - Remove (4-Door)

Remove the trunk side trim panel.

3. Headliner - Remove

Remove the headliner.

4. Rear Drain Tube - Remove

Pull the rear drain valve (A) out of the body hole.
2.
Tie a string to the top end of the rear drain tube (B), then pull the drain tube down out of the pillar. Leave the string in the pillar to use when reinstalling the drain tube.

Rear Middle Drain Tube

1. Headliner - Remove

Remove the headliner.

2. Rear Middle Drain Tube - Remove

Remove the rear middle drain tube (A).

NOTE:
Before installing the frame, clear the drain tubes and the drain valves using compressed air.
To install a new drain tube, tie the string left in the body during drain tube removal to the top end of the new drain tube, and pull it up into the roof.
When connecting the drain tubes, slide them over the frame nozzles at least 10 mm (0.39 in).
Check the frame seal.
When installing the frame, first attach the rear hook into the body hole.
Install the tube clips (A) on the drain tubes (B) as shown.

Moonroof Frame

With the help of an assistant, install the moonroof frame (A).

2-door: Connect the rear middle drain tube (A).
3.
Connect the front drain tubes (B) and the rear drain tubes (C).

2. Headliner - Install

Install the headliner.

3. Water Leaks - Check

Check for water leaks.

Front Drain Tube

1. Front Drain Tube - Install
1.
Install the front drain tube (A) using the string left in the pillar.
2.
Install the front drain valve (B) to the body hole.

2. Headliner - Install

Install the headliner.

3. Glove Box - Install

Install the glove box.

4. Both Kick Panels - Install

Install both kick panels.

Rear Drain Tube

1. Rear Drain Tube - Install
1.
Install the rear drain tube (A) using the string left in the pillar.

Install the rear drain valve (B) to the body hole.

2. Headliner - Install

Install the headliner.

3. Rear Side Trim Panel - Install (2-Door)

Install the rear side trim panel.

4. Trunk Side Trim Panel - Install (4-Door)

Install the trunk side trim panel.

Rear Middle Drain Tube

1. Rear Middle Drain Tube - Install

Install the rear middle drain tube (A).

2. Headliner - Install

Install the headliner.
