Problem verification:

Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
|
?2. |
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode and then the ON mode. |

Check for DTCs.

Is DTC B1235 or 42 indicated?

|
Intermittent failure. Check for loose wires or poor connections on the driver's air mix control motor circuit.? |

Open wire check (M-HOT DR/M-HOT line):
Open wire check (M-HOT DR/M-HOT line)
?1. |
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode. |

Disconnect the following connectors.

?3. |
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

Driver's air mix control motor 7P connector: disconnected |

Is there continuity?

The M-HOT DR/M-HOT wire is not open. Go to step 3. |
|
|
|
Repair an open in the wire between the climate control unit and the driver's air mix control motor.? |

Open wire check (M-COOL DR/M-COOL line):
Open wire check (M-COOL DR/M-COOL line)

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition |
IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode |
Climate control unit 32P connector: disconnected |
Driver's air mix control motor 7P connector: disconnected |

Is there continuity?

The M-COOL DR/M-COOL wire is not open. Go to step 4. |
|
|
|
Repair an open in the wire between the climate control unit and the driver's air mix control motor.? |

Shorted wire check (M-HOT DR/M-HOT line):
Shorted wire check (M-HOT DR/M-HOT line)

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

Repair a short to body ground in the wire between the climate control unit and the driver's air mix control motor.? |

The M-HOT DR/M-HOT wire is OK. Go to step 5. |

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

Is there continuity?

Repair a short to body ground in the wire between the climate control unit and the driver's air mix control motor.? |

|
The M-COOL DR/M-COOL wire is OK. Go to step 6. |
