Multi-information display or touch screen does not dim or brighten with dimmer
NOTE:
Check for B-CAN DTCs and resolve them before troubleshooting.
Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.

Problem verification:

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

?2.
Turn the combination light switch to the parking light position.

?3.
Rotate the dashlights brightness controller knob several times.

Does the multi-information display brightness change?

     
YES
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.?
     
NO: Without navigation
     
     
     
The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
     
NO: With navigation
     
     
     
The failure is duplicated, go to step 3.

Open wire check (B CAN-H line, B CAN-L line):

Open wire check (B CAN-H line, B CAN-L line)
?1.
Turn the combination light switch off.

?2.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

?3.
Disconnect the following connectors.

?4.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode
 
Audio unit connector A (24P): disconnected
 
Gauge control module connector A (32P): disconnected
Test circuit
B CAN-H
Test point 1
Audio unit connector A (24P) No. 4 (PNK)
Test point 2
Gauge control module connector A (32P) No. 30 (PNK)

Test circuit
B CAN-L
Test point 1
Audio unit connector A (24P) No. 2 (BLU)
Test point 2
Gauge control module connector A (32P) No. 31 (BLU)


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open in the wire(s) between the audio unit and the gauge control module.?
3.
Open wire check (B CAN-H line, B CAN-L line):

Turn the combination light switch off.

?2.
Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

?3.
Disconnect the following connectors.

?4.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

Gauge control module connector A (32P): disconnected
