Interface dial and navigation hard buttons do not work
NOTE:
Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.?
     
NO
     
     
     
The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.

Fuse check:

Check the following fuse.

Are the fuses OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 5.
     
NO
     
     
     
Replace the fuse, and recheck. If the fuse blows again, check for a short in the No. B37 (7.5 A) fuse circuits.?

Open wire check (ACC line):

Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Is there battery voltage?

     
YES
     
     
     
The ACC wire is OK. Go to step 6.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open in the wire between the No. B37 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and the navigation switch panel.?

Open wire check (GND line):

Open wire check (GND line)

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Is there less than 0.2 V?

     
YES
     
     
     
The GND wire is OK. Go to step 7.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the navigation switch panel and body ground (G506).?

Shorted wire check (JOG line):

Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

Disconnect the following connectors.

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition

Audio-navigation unit connector F (18P): disconnected
 
Navigation switch panel 12P connector: disconnected

Audio-navigation unit connector F (18P) No. 16 (WHT)

Body ground


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
There is a short to body ground in the wire between the audio-navigation unit and the navigation switch panel. Replace the affected shielded harness.?
     
NO
     
     
     
The JOG wire is not shorted to ground. Go to step 8.

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

Audio-navigation unit connector F (18P): disconnected
 
Navigation switch panel 12P connector: disconnected

Test point 2
Audio-navigation unit connector F (18P) No. 16 (WHT)


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
There is a short in the wires between the audio-navigation unit and the navigation switch panel. Replace the affected shielded harness.?
     
NO
     
     
     
The SH JOG and the JOG wires are not shorted. Go to step 9.

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
The JOG wire is OK. Go to step 10.
     
NO
     
     
     
There is an open in the wire between the audio-navigation unit and the navigation switch panel. Replace the affected shielded harness.?

Navigation switch panel check (substitution):

Reconnect all the connectors, and recheck.

Does the symptom go away?

     
YES
     
     
     
Replace the original navigation switch panel.?
     
NO
