Audio-Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 1405
DTC 1405: Audio Error 5
NOTE:
Check the vehicle battery condition first.
This navigation DTC sets when the internal temperature of the HDD rises above 158 F (70 C). The audio-navigation unit is designed to shut down to protect the HDD. This could be caused by an inoperative audio-navigation unit fan or if the dash temperature exceeds the maximum. Do the troubleshooting when the unit is within the allowable temperature range.
If the audio-navigation unit displays an error message when you turn on the navigation system, follow the instructions.
Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information.
Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
